Today is the last day of 2014! How fast did that go? For me this year has gone in a blink of an eye.
Like everyone we've all faced challenges along the way however if you know me or you've been reading my blog, you can probably tell I'm an optimistic person. In the spirit of optimism, one of my favourite things about this year is the amount of moments I got to meet with incredible old friends and meeting new ones.
Last week I got a surprisingly wonderful message from a long lost friend who I've known for over six years telling me that she had just landed in Singapore! We exchanged numbers, spoked and I proposed to her that she should come over ASAP.
She's one of the happiest people I know that just walks through life with such a relaxed approach. Knowing this I knew where to bring her. The cutest place, The Interlace playground.
Without further ado I'd like to introduce you to my lovely Italian bundle of joy, Alice! (pronounced A-li-ché)
How awesome is this trampoline?! Happy days.
This playground was cleverly designed with complete inspiration from The Interlace. However it doesn't consist of 31 apartment blocks but instead consists of four main blocks that are interconnected to each other.
The first block was filled with a couple of mini swings where Alice & I had a long and needed catch up of our lives.
The silver tunnel that challenged our balance was next in block number two.
As I popped out to block number three I was faced with two major options to leave the playground.
The first option the slide that would have you leave the playground as gracefully as anyone could. The second option was to master the challenging rope of doom that was followed by a spider web net. Both Alice and I chose the latter.
We didn't exit the playground as gracefully as we hoped we would but we were proud of our decision.
This 2015 I invite you to try to take a break from the seriousness in your life and face on your obstacles with happy smiling faces.
