Thank You

Last week I turned 21! I had the chance to see and do incredible experiences that I don't even know where to begin. I believe in simplicity and I want to keep this post straight to the point. I am surrounded with people that are each individually amazing and I witnessed this last week during my celebrations. It got me thinking about how grateful I am to have the friends and family I have and would like to dedicate this post to human connection. Do you know what I mean by that? Today a speaker came into talk about his design work and how he has emerged as a designer since graduating. He highlighted the fact that we have to keep in mind when we design anything we should design to create emotion because that's what sets us mere mortals apart from any machine. We as humans have the power to connect in ways that evoke emotions and that's exactly what I experienced with the friends and family I celebrated with last week. I am so thankful for all the incredible experiences that created a whirlwind of emotions during the week that made me feel alive and human.

Remember, evoke emotion.

Ps. Watch this space as one of my favourite ways to evoke emotion is through video. Move on up!
